Replacement Measures

282 hectares of forest were cleared at the building site of the new runway northwest. Fraport AG will reforest 288 hectares. The compensation measures have a special focus on planting a big variety of young trees and shrubs with a special focus on creating future recreation possibilities for the surrounding communities. The 288 hectares reforestation project covers 13 areas throughout the region.
