How our airport creates new jobs
In the globalized economy of the 21st century, airports epitomize mobility, growth and jobs. This is particularly true for Frankfurt Airport. It is the crucial economic and location factor for the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main region and in many ways drives the economic activity in the state of Hesse. Beyond that, it is a primary macro-economic factor and its investment, income and employment effects influence the economy of Germany as a whole.
The employment figure alone demonstrates Frankfurt Airport's economic significance: With some 70,000 jobs, FRA is the largest employment complex at a single location in Germany. Nowhere in the country do so many people work at a single place. But airports create jobs not only at the airports themselves but far beyond their boundaries.
